Why Disney needs to make an Obi-Wan solo movie.
The one thing most people can agree on about the Star Wars prequels is that Ewan McGregor played a great Obi-Wan. He has also mentioned that he would love to return to the character. His age now would fit perfectly into the almost 20 year gap in between Revenge of the Sith and A New hope. It’s a period of time in the Saga that fans have seen almost nothing of. But the reason I’m making this post is because of the scene shown in the still above. After deciding the fate of the Skywalker twins, Yoda tells Obi-Wan he still has training for him. This includes teaching the way of communicating with Qui-Gon. So not only can Ewan return to the franchise, but Liam Neeson as well. We can see these two interact on Tatooine and look over a young Luke Skywalker. Sure Boba Fett, Han Solo, and Yoda spinoffs could be interesting… but the one I feel Disney could really make a great film out of is Obi-Wan. His character guided us through the saga in many ways, so it’s only fair and deserving for his own adventure. What do you guys think?
